Linda has always called Tulsa “home”. She and her husband Phil have been married 47 years, have two children and have six grandchildren. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Tulsa and has spent her adult life involved in the leading and teaching of children through music in both schools and churches. Her many years of experience include serving as a music teacher at Holland Hall School, Worship Associate at Gracemont Baptist Church, and Program Secretary at Evergreen. Throughout these years she has also given private voice and piano lessons.
Linda is passionate about worship, with a special love for leading children through musicals and worship. She loves handbells. She is also passionate about meeting needs in the lives of overseas missionary women. She is active in serving with our Women’s Fellowship.
Her hobbies and interests include needlework, live theater, all kinds of puzzles (Soduko!), spending time with her grandchildren and “girl trips” with her long-time travel group friends. Linda enjoys watching golf and loves the circus.
People might be surprised to know that her past experiences include giving guided tours of the Wonder Bread Bakery and giving voice lessons to a Channel 6 News personality, Leanne Taylor. Oh, and Linda used to live at the Mohawk Boys Home—where her father was Superintendent.
