Dana was born in Oklahoma City, but has lived most of her life right here in Tulsa. She has been married to Chuck for 33 years and they have two married children and five grandchildren.
After graduating from East Central High School in Tulsa, Dana earned a degree in Special Education from Oklahoma State University. Before taking the position at Evergreen, she spent 6 years as a secretary at Gracemont Baptist Church (now Battlecreek) and was a legal secretary for 6 years.
Dana and Chuck have served together in ministry for many years, including service as youth teachers and Sunday School directors, Life Shepherds, and preschool workers. They have a heart for missions and will travel to Nicaragua again this year for the 5th time.
Nicaragua is one of her greatest passions, both time there and time preparing for trips as she collects donations to take to the people in need. She also has a desire to encourage people to get connected and stay connected with the church.
She and Chuck also play tennis and participate on many USTA teams each spring. Dana loves crafts and decorating. Finding great bargains is hugely rewarding to her, leading her to frequent flea markets, thrift shops and garage sales.
You might not know that Dana grew up riding and racing dirt bikes; but she has transitioned now to 4 wheeling.
